may closet additions

Forever 21 Maxi Dress: (on sale) $15

Old Navy Chambray Dress: Originally $35 - 30% off = $25
Completely in love with this dress but for some reason I haven't worn it yet!

White Tank: Marshall's: $25
This was totally an impulse buy yesterday, but it's sooo soft, so I couldn't pass it up.

Old Navy Coral Dress: Originally $20 - 30% off = $14

White Blouse: Marshall's $10
I wish they had this blouse in more colors because it was such a great price for a basic blouse!

Total Spent this month $89 - Clothes sold on Poshmark $40 = $49

Total Spent this year: $173

This was a weird month for me shopping wise. I ordered the 2 Old Navy dresses and the maxi dress at the beginning of the month, and then didn't shop (for clothes) at all until yesterday when I went to Marshall's. For the most part it's been because pregnancy has got me tired as ever. I've spent numerous lunch breaks this month watching Netflix on my phone. Also because I don't actually know how to shop now knowing that I will soon have an ever growing belly! I think that I'll definitely be able to wear all of these items throughout the summer. It's all either loose or stretchy!

the best news

DSC02263_edited-1

I'm so excited to finally share our news! Baby Wallace is expected January 4, 2016! I can't get over how good God is to have blessed us with the best gift ever. He gets ALL of the glory for this little baby. It is all because of Him that we are able to have our miracle baby.

In February we tried our first round of IVF. We had no doubt it would work... It didn't. It was devastating, but we knew that it just wasn't in God's plan for us. We didn't know why we had to go through that, but it just wasn't our time. We jumped right back into another round of IVF right after that. It was so much harder than the first round because now we knew that indeed there was a chance of it failing.. again. Luckily, on April 28th, we got the best news ever!

If you're interested, I documented our journey through IVF at by God's grace.

little navy dress

little navy dress
Dress: Target, gift carded
Necklace: Forever 21 $9
Heels: Just Fab $40
Total Outfit Cost: $49

I had every intention of blogging this week. I really did. I'd really love to catch up on my outfits. But my mom came to spend the week with me while Larry was gone on a business trip, and spending time with her is way more fun and more important than blogging! Tonight we are working on a very special project with her silhouette machine. I can't wait to share it with y'all in a couple of weeks! Have any of you used a silhouette machine before? This is only our second time using hers. It's really tedious for me. I'm kind of too impatient for it. I do like actually designing on it though!

It's so funny, I put my mom to work every time she comes visit. Tuesday I made her cook me a big pot of red beans and a pot of black beans. Beans are my favorite and I can't cook them to save my life (ok, I've only tried twice.. and we threw it away). So that's why I make her make me a lot, so I can freeze them and eat them whenever I like! My momma is the best cook. Too bad I didn't inherit her skillz!

new heels + a go to dress

aztec printed dress
coral aztec dress
Dress: Apricot Lane, gift carded
Heels: Just Fab $40
Necklace: Plato's Closet $3
Total Outfit Cost: $43

Gosh, I am SO behind on outfit posts! I think I wore this a month ago. I got these gorgeous heels in the mail from Just Fab, and I couldn't even wait a day to wear them! I went for the easiest thing and paired it with this coral aztec printed dress. This dress is one of go-to things to wear. It doesn't take much styling, and it can be worn to work, casually, out to dinner, or to church. In fact, I've literally worn it in all of those situations haha. I think it was a perfect pick to show off my new heels too. Oddly enough, I've worn this dress probably about 8-10 times in the less than 2 years I've had it, but I could only find one time that it's been on the blog! I swear, it's always my favorite things or outfits that get neglected on the blog! Somehow I always seem to wear things  I love at inconvenient blog photoing times. #bloggerprobz

floral kimono

Forever 21 kimono: Instagram shop $12
J. Crew T-shirt: Bargain World Thrift Shop $2
Jeans: Old Navy $11.25
Sandals: Target (bogo) $15
Necklace: Groopdealz $9
Total Outfit Cost:

I bought this kimono almost a year ago (last June to be exact) and even though I've worn it numerous times, it's never made it to a blog post! I've pretty much worn it this same way every time though haha.  What I love about it is that it adds something interesting to a simple jeans + tee + sandals outfit. I have also paired it with my little black dress. Maybe I'll have to wear that outfit again soon so I can post it. How else could I style my kimono? I know I can always count on my blog friends for some styling ideas!

Soo this post has been sitting in my drafts for a few weeks now... whoops! My dang computer decided to die on me. I went to turn it on about a month ago, and it just won't turn on at all any more. My husband has a laptop, but he's kind of a gamer, so to use his to laptop, he'd have to be better at sharing. I can't blame it all on him though, because there's definitely been multiple times I could have used his laptop to blog, but I just didn't feel like it. I took a little blogging break this time last year, so maybe I just needed a short break again! Good news is though- I finally ordered a new laptop last night! Sadly it won't be in until next week. Until then, I will try to write as many posts as I can tonight... knowing me, I doubt I get very far haha.

april closet additions

2015 APRIL CLOSET ADDITIONS

1. Paisley maxi dress: Forever 21 $16
I wish this dress was still online so I could recommend it to y'all! It's sooo soft and comfy. It will definitely be a staple for spring and summer.

2. Sandals: Target (BOGO 1/2 off) $15
I orginally ordered another pair of palazzo pants with the sandals, but I accidentally ordered the wrong size! Then when I returned them, they were sold out of my size. :( Luckily, I still got these sandals at the BOGO price!

3. Necklace: Le Tote (clearance) $12 used purchase credit = $0
Back in December Le Tote offered purchase credit to all of their customers because they moved locations and there were possible delays. I finally used my credit when they put a lot of their merchandise on clearance.

4. Black and white printed shirt: Forever 21 $10
Another soft and comfy find from Forever 21.

5. Old Navy teal cardigan: Dirt Cheap $10
When do you not need a new colored cardi to add to the closet?

6. {not pictured} Pink Belt: Charming Charlie (clearance) $6

7. {pictured below because I almost forgot about them} "Donny" Heeled Sandals: Just Fab $40 used last months credit = $0
I was mad that Just Fab took my money last month, but it ended up working out for the best because I adore these heels! I don't regret that $40 one bit. ;)

Total Spent $57 - Clothes sold on Poshmark $19 = $38

Total Spent this year: $124
